James, Part 1
Jan 4, 2026 • Alan Potter
Alan begins our study in the book of James with a focus on James 1:1-18. In this portion of scripture, James encourages us to be joyful when facing trials because our faith and character have opportunity to grow and mature. He urges us to ask our generous God for wisdom whenever we need it and to recognize that every good and perfect gift is from Him. We are reminded that temptation comes from our own desires and not from God. James assures us that if we remain steadfast under trial, we will receive the crown of life, promised to those who love God.
