Galatians, Part 7

Oct 18, 2026  •  Alan Potter

Our series in Galatians continues as Alan teaches from chapter 4:21-31. In this portion of scripture, Paul draws a parallel between Abraham's children and God's covenants. Ishmael, the child born to the slave woman, represents the old covenant under the law, and Isaac, the child born to the free woman, represents the new covenant of grace. Paul encourages us to embrace our identity as "children of the promise" and to live in the freedom we have been given by grace through faith in Christ. He admonishes us not to return to spiritual slavery.
