Aaron & Bethany Zechman, Children’s Pastors
Hi, our names are Aaron and Beth Zechman, and these are our daughters, Maya, Macie, and Madelyn. We are so excited to have the opportunity to oversee the kids’ ministry at GCCC. We love kids and are committed to seeing them live their entire lives as passionate followers of Jesus Christ. It is our desire for them to know that God is calling them to follow Him even now—that they are not too young to be filled with His Spirit and to expand and impact the Kingdom of God today!
We would love to meet your children and have them join us as we learn and grow together in Christ. Please be assured that all of our volunteers have submitted to background checks and have obtained child clearances so that we can assure, to the best of our ability, your child’s safety. If you have any questions or comments, or if you would like to help serve in our children’s ministry, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

3—For Who You Are—No matter what happens God deserves our praise.
4—Extreme Life—You’ll never come second by putting God first.
Vision for Kids at Grace:
Countless times throughout the Bible, God uses children to accomplish His purposes. We believe that is still the desire of God’s heart.
Here at Grace, our focus is to provide an environment where kids will experience the presence of God. We strive to create that environment by:
- Providing a safe and accepting place for kids
- Teaching kids how to live a life of worship, a life set apart for their Savior
- Building foundations of Truth—using the Bible as the standard to which they measure their lives (beliefs, attitudes, and actions) against
Psalm 37 says that children are God’s greatest blessing, and we are so excited to have the incredible opportunity to lead kids into a personal and life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Nursery (Turtles)–The nursery is open for any children from birth up to age 2. If a child is younger than six months, we ask that a parent stay with him/her in the nursery. When children turn two, they move up to the toddler class. On any Sunday morning, parents are permitted to bring their children to the nursery and/or pick them up at any point during the service. When a child is dropped off, parents will receive a pager that will be used if your child is upset or needs a parent. There is no formal structure or lesson in the nursery, but our nursery workers love to play, pray, sing, and cuddle with the babies. We want our babies to feel so, so, so loved!
Toddlers (Elephants)–-We have a toddler class available for children ages 2-3. This class offers a bit more structure than the nursery, and we want our toddlers to love coming to church and learning Bible stories. The toddlers have fun while they learn as they worship with instruments, do simple crafts, read a Bible story, or watch a DVD of the story. We also have plenty of play time when the teachers and helpers are intentional about getting to know these little ones and finding out
what they love to do.
The preschool class is available for 4-5 year olds. The exciting part of being in the preschool class is that they get to join the older kids for live worship! We have our own kids’ worship team, so our worship is by kids, for kids. It is high-energy, enthusiastic, and powerful. When a child turns 4, he is welcome to join the worship team to help lead his peers in worship! After worship, the preschoolers head back to their classroom. The remainder of the time consists of an interactive lesson, craft, short video, snack, or game time.
Elementary (Lions–Girls, Gorillas–Boys)–For the elementary kiddos (kindergarten to fifth grade), kids learn by connecting with God through worship (led by the kids’ worship team–worship for kids, by kids!), participating in an interactive lesson, and connecting with one another and building friendship with one another and with God through games, activities, and discussion in our small group time.
