Missions Coordinator

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHi, I am Jennie Crawford, and I have been serving people in other cultures for 25 years. Here at GCCC, I serve as the coordinator and resource person for cross-cultural outreach.

I am passionate about helping people with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs experience restoration through the hope and truth of Jesus. We use the term “missions” in our Christian vocabulary, though that term is not used in the Bible. Jesus tells us to “go into all the world” to share His truth. He did not say, “Americans go and save the rest of the world.” No, it is everyone, everywhere who is a follower of Jesus who should be making disciples to those around them and beyond. Some people are gifted in doing this locally, others cross-culturally; they are different. Cross-culturally, at GCCC, we try to best build relationships and see people restored through Christ acting in humility, grace, wisdom, and with cultural awareness to bring empowerment and sustainability spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Grace Covenant is invested in a few areas around the world: the Navajo reservation in AZ/NM, northern Uganda, Cape Town, South Africa, and the Dominican Republic (you can learn more on the “Missions” section of the website). These are the areas where we put most of our focus on partnering and building relationships and encouraging and supporting those on the ground serving.

Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or interest you might have in being involved – through learning, prayer, giving, or going.

I spend most of my time in Uganda currently, but I am home in Middleburg some months of the year. You can always email and engage in any conversations to learn or discuss your heart for serving other cultures. jbcrawfordftw@hotmail.com You can also follow the work in Uganda, as well as general thoughts on serving other cultures at my blog www.jenniebeth.wordpress.com.

Many blessings!
